GV Multimedia's Exeter team enjoyed a mini-mobile tech day yesterday, courtesy of Kurtis Oliver of Maverick, as Vision AV, Phillips and Promethean visited the branch to present their latest products. While Promethean’s impressive ActivPanel V4 interactive touchscreen was set up and fully demonstrated, Vision and Phillips brought their presentation roadshow vans. As Vision educated the team on their catalogue of cables as well as audio, switching and control products, Phillips presented a host of high quality signage and video wall solutions. The event was enjoyed by all and the team would like to extend their gratitude to Vision, Phillips and Promethean for taking the time to take part in this different style of presentation and particularly to Kurtis for organising the event.

GV Multimedia has been featured in a Storify article on the Adventure in Big Data event that was held at Swansea School of Management's brand new building on the Bay Campus.

We would like to extend our thanks to Lucy and the team for featuring us. The team was glad to be both a part of the running of the event as well as a sponsor.

The event focussed on Digital Marketing in the Tourism industry and was held on 28th January. For more information on GV's involvement with the event, see our blog post here.

Last week saw the GV Multimedia team once again attend Integrated Systems Europe held at the Amsterdam RAI over the 9th – 12th February. Hosting a number of GV’s valued customers, ISE saw some fantastic exhibitions from the world’s top manufacturers of audio visual equipment.

The Maverick team welcomed GV’s team and customers to their Tiki Bar themed stand where they demonstrated the impressive capabilities of the Microsoft Surface Hub – a versatile, cloud connected Windows 10 device that boasts the simplicity and consistency of a custom surface display. The large interactive touchscreen offers 100 points of multitouch as well as a host of features to aid interactivity and collaboration.

On January 28th, GV Multimedia were the proud sponsors of the Adventure into Big Data event hosted by the School of Management at Swansea University. The event took place in the School of Management’s brand new building at Swansea University’s Bay Campus. The event focussed on Digital Marketing for the Tourism industry and was attended by members of Visit Wales as well as the Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism. The event utilised the brand new NEC X-Series video walls and Tannoy Q-Flex 16 PA system within the building’s atrium to great effect, displaying showreels, marketing information, workshop content and sponsors logos. The surrounding lecture theatres were also utilised for the various presentations and workshops throughout the day and made use of the comprehensive presentation facilities. In both cases the core of the system used Crestron Digital Media.
