Working in partnership with Laing O'Rourke, GV Multimedia's Hounslow team was tasked firstly with conducting full consultancy services and secondly to fully integrate the agreed systems within the Mathematical Institute.
The project included three lecture theatres, a quad projection and interactive Access Grid System, nine seminar rooms, six meeting rooms and a digital signage system.
The systems were designed using the latest XTP solution from Extron and included Extron components throughout. Christie projectors were used in all areas along with Samsung and Sharp display screens in meeting rooms as well as for use within the digital signage system. Bespoke lecterns from Avenue housed all equipment - particularly within the seminar rooms.
One of the elements of the project implemented by the Hounslow team involved custom designing a flexible Extron system that facilitates the presentation of materials throughout three lecture theatres in a variety of configurations - allowing users to overflow content to the other theatres should the need to accommodate a larger audience be required. The Extron XTP solution provides the control for the sharing system's functionality.
The project also included twin Christie projection systems, lecture capturing, annotation, visualisers from Wolfvision and 5.1 audio - all of which were present in all theatres.
