A pilot scheme to refurbish seven Seminar Rooms to include total AV solutions. To provide a suitable system that could be specified for the whole campus. Consideration given to easy operation and system maintenance.
Hardware solutions included an AMX control system, TeamMate modular furniture, Hitachi projectors and a Smart Sympodium.
We specified equipment that would provide a simple user interface and an attractive working environment. Teammate furniture was introduced to the University due to its modern design and versatility.
A 5-inch AMX touch panel fitted on top of the TeamMate desk allows full switching between PC, laptop & DVD/VCR. Full transport control for the DVD/VCR is provided. All audio signals follow the image.
A laptop input plate (including LAN socket) was situated next to the AMX panel for external users to connect. A 15-inch SMART Sympodium was fitted to provide the lecturer with an interactive local display. Electric screens operate automatically when the projector is turned on and off.
Each room features the same interface ensuring a consistent and comfortable system for all users. A neat and secure housing for all of the source equipment is provided that also allows easy maintenance.
