Manchester Metropolitan University-
The challenge presented by Manchester Metropolitan University was a pilot scheme to refurbish several teaching rooms to include total AV solutions and to provide suitable systems that could be specified for other similar rooms at the University.
Hardware solutions included a Crestron control system, Dalen furniture, Panasonic projectors, Promethean interactive board/panel, Wolfvision visualisers.
A wide range of AV equipment from various manufacturers was selected in order to achieve the aims of the customer. Crestron control systems were fitted allowing for total system control via 25 labelled buttons fixed to the desks. Dalen height-adjustable desks were fitted to provide DDA compliancy as well as a neat housing system. Panasonic projectors used in conjunction with 3 metre fixed-frame projection screens for a professional appearance. Promethean height-adjustable interactive whiteboards and interactive panels allow for full interactivity. WolfVision visualisers in all rooms provide top quality images of 3D objects via the projectors.
End users have found that the installations meet their needs in the teaching space, are easy to use and reliable. We are now working with MMU on further similar projects.
“The standard of installation by GVMM was of the highest quality and was carried out professionally. Before, during and after the installation GVMM have always been available for advice and support.”
