Middlesex University - Five Campuses-
Middlesex University needed to completely refurbish 110 teaching spaces within their 5 campuses ranging from lecture theatres, seminar rooms to computer labs. Integration with the appointed refurbishment contractor was key to delivering the system within the timescales set and to ensure that teaching was not affected.
Hardware solutions included control systems, custom lecterns and an LCD projector.
Each type of room was categorised and a common delivery platform was created for ease of use, familiarity and the ability to switch sources from a variety of media resources. In support of the equipment, a room management system was also provided for the university to centrally manage each of the rooms. Each system was designed so that future upgrades can easily be integrated.
GV Multi-media’s project management were key to ensure that all targets were met and delivered on time. Regular project meetings were held so that all parties were kept informed of progress.
Each of the 3000 products that was provided were security marked and an asset register was provided by room detailing serial numbers, product and quantity. Full training was provided ensuring that academics and support staff were fully conversant with the new systems in place prior to semester start.
